林子偉先發持續低潮 皇家延長勝紅襪
美國職棒大聯盟，波士頓紅襪跟堪薩斯皇家三連戰第二場，打到延長賽13局皇家以七比六險勝，紅襪最近五場比賽吞下三場敗仗，不過仍然在美聯東區保持第一名，領先紐約洋基兩場勝差。台灣選手林子偉也先發上陣但兩個打數都沒有安打提前退場。

林子偉今年第九場先發，打第九棒二壘手，三局第一個上來打擊第一球就出棒打成一壘滾地球出局，紅襪之後攻佔滿壘但沒有得分。四局皇家靠紅襪失誤保送跟觸身球沒有安打就攻下第一分，五局林子偉第二次打擊又打了一壘方向滾地球，六局皇家攻佔一三壘後發動雙盜壘拿下第二分，六局紅襪莫蘭德全壘打以後戴佛斯跟小布萊德利安打追平皇家，林子偉過去兩個星期連續八場比賽19個打數沒有安打，打擊率剩下.194。七局輪到第三次打擊時被換下場由努涅茲代打，班寧坦迪二壘打後靠皇家投手凱勒暴投超前比數。九局上皇家一出局後戈登全壘打再追平紅襪。
延長賽12局上皇家再添一分，但12局下紅襪努涅茲全壘打三度打平，13局上皇家索勒左外野三分全壘打七比四拉開差距，13局下紅襪也打出兩支安打追到六比七，但努涅茲外野飛球結束比賽，皇家雖然贏球但還是跟金鶯並列美聯最後一名。
